The Filmont is LIV Development’s newest expression of elevated 55+ living set within the highly desirable Liberty Park community in Vestavia Hills, AL. Everything about the project reflects a thoughtful commitment to comfort, connection, and beautifully executed design. With an amenity-forward lifestyle and finishes selected to stand the test of time, The Filmont offers residents a warm, contemporary home that feels both sophisticated and easy to live in.
South Cypress was invited to support this project with two surface material categories: wood flooring in the amenity spaces and tile on the walls of kitchens and baths in the units.
Design Goals
Nequette Architecture & Design crafted The Filmont with an emphasis on livability, warmth, and a timeless visual character. Their design approach balances luxury with comfort, spaces that feel polished but never cold, contemporary but rooted in a sense of home.

Labrador Wood Flooring – Amenity Spaces
The amenity areas serve as the heart of The Filmont’s community experience—lounges, gathering spaces, fitness rooms, and shared social zones.
Our Labrador Hardwood Flooring was selected to provide:
- A warm, inviting foundation for resident interaction
- A cohesive visual story across multiple programmed spaces
- Durable performance suited for commercial environments
- A clean, contemporary grain pattern that complements Nequette’s interior palette

Brooklyn Collection – Unit Backsplashes & Showers
Inside each home, tile plays a functional and aesthetic role in areas used every day.
The Filmont’s design team selected the Brooklyn tile collection for:
- Kitchen backsplashes that feel polished and easy to maintain
- Shower walls with clean lines and enduring style
- A unified finish package carried consistently across all units
The Brooklyn series provides durability, simplicity, and a subtle urban sensibility—perfect for a design vision that aims to feel timeless rather than trendy.
